This is Fotona 4D, and it’s really four different treatments performed in one appointment. The first pass is the one most people don’t expect, and it’s done from inside the mouth. I use a laser to gently heat the tissue and collagen from the inside, which allows me to work around the mouth and mid face from a completely different direction.
Then we move into a deeper fractional pass, followed by a slow, bulk heating pass that gradually warms deeper tissue to stimulate collagen remodelling. The final step is the light Er:YAG resurfacing pass over the surface of the skin, to improve texture, brightness and overall skin luminosity.
Nothing is injected and nothing is surgically removed. Depending on how aggressively we treat, you can expect some redness, warmth, dryness or light flaking afterwards.
